What is "Silk~LiftTM"? (Thread lifting)
" Silk-Lift" also known as (Russian Lifting) is a non-surgical approach to facial rejuvenation and lifting using the new patented "AptosR (Barbed Polypropylene Sutures) threads". (also known as Russian Threads)
What are "AptosR Threads"?
AptosR threads" are made of a monofilament material called "polypropylene". AptosR threads are designed with directional cogs (barbed). As they are inserted under the skin, AptosR thread cogs anchor and form a support structure for the face.

Drooping of the soft tissue of the face and neck.
Weakly pronounced aesthetic contours.
Flaccid, flat face.
Premature aging and sun damaged skin.
How hard is it to Perform?
This procedure is safe, quick and easy to perform. Performed under local anesthesia and if desired, light IV sedation, the patient remains awake and alert. Using a needle, the AptosR threads are inserted into the subcutaneous fat, at a required depth, along the contours that were previously marked.
How does the "Silk~LiftTM" differ from conventional face lift?

This new and exciting technique was first developed in Russia. Doctor Sulamanidze from Moscow has invented a technique using fine threads to counteract the effects of ageing on the face and neck.
The new "Silk~LiftTM" treatment consists of inserting- under local anesthesia - three to four, 5 to 8 centimeter long AptosR thread under the skin.
The threads are made of polypropylene, a material long used in surgery, covered with fine teeth (Barbs or Cogs) that act as supports for facial tissues.
Side effects are minimal and rare: small contusions and a slight swelling seldom appear but can last for one or two days.
Although the "Silk~LiftTM" produces excellent results it is not meant to replace the face-lift which is more efficient in cases of serious loss in the elasticity of the skin.
The threads pull up the loosened skin & tissue and hold it in the required position with tiny barbs (Aptos Thread Pictured Above Right).
Ideal for nose-cheek folds, loosened cheek and brow and for tightening of the neck area.
