Karen Haddon and Janet Elkins were inspired to co-found Rubicon Medical a decade ago, after they discovered deep facial peel, The Rubicon Mask, which can take up to 20 years off a woman’s age. Rubicon now carries out ongoing research into innovative cosmetic procedures from all over the world, which has brought it to the forefront of cosmetic and plastic surgery treatments combined with cutting-edge technology. Karen, who was already a successful business woman, has always been committed to fitness, skin care and good nutrition.
Her previous training as a fitness therapist means she can advise clients on how to maintain their new lifestyle after treatment, so that eating well, exercising and using regular skin care regimes, become part of their daily life. Her, Body Sculpt for Life, exercise regime only takes
45 minutes twice a week using weights to tone and sculpt the body. She says: “Forming a company dedicated to achieving extremely positive aesthetic results to enhance a person’s well-being was a challenge I couldn’t resist. When a woman improves something about herself which she has disliked for many years, it can be a truly life-changing experience.”
Rubicon is unique in referring plastic surgeon clients to its bank of plastic surgeons, each specializing in their chosen fields and also provides non-surgical procedures such as Botox and dermal fillers. Both Karen and Janet discourage patients from undergoing surgery if they think less invasive procedures or a change in lifestyle would be of equal benefit.
Karen says: “I really enjoy motivating women to achieve a healthier and happier lifestyle.
The way you look and feel about yourself is of vital importance and a good body image is so essential with regard to overall well-being.”
